Malena Dawson is a daddy's girl turned bittesweet, having internalized the loss of her father. She thrived on the love of God that her parents instilled in her from early on, however when she goes offto college she becomes someone that even she doesn't recognize, filling herselfwith shallow misconceptions of life, love and success. Then Grant Carpenter, a younger admirer from her childhood resurfaces in her life. Malena, unsure of the age difference and still struggling with the death of her father, yo-yo's between wanting and denying Grant.
